Snake Found In AC 2-Tier Coach Of Jharkhand-Goa Train, Railways Responds
Shocking footage was captured by passengers traveling in the AC 2-tier coach of the Vasco-da-Gama Weekly Express, showing a snake moving around near a lower berth amidst the curtains.
During a surprising event, passengers on the Vasco-da-Gama Weekly Express were alarmed to find a live snake in an AC coach while en route from Jharkhand to Goa on October 21. The serpent was spotted by multiple individuals slithering close to the curtains of a lower berth in an AC 2-tier coach, prompting them to record videos of the unsettling encounter. Ankit Kumar Sinha, whose parents were occupants of the impacted coach (A2 31, 33), took to social media platform X to document the incident and appeal to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for immediate assistance. Videos circulated by Mr. Sinha and fellow passengers captured the snake moving around the curtains, inciting alarm and distress among the travellers.
A passenger lodged a complaint on behalf of his parents, who were traveling in AC 2 Tier (berths A2 31, 33) on Train -17322 (Jasidih to Vasco De Gama) on the 21st of October after a snake was found in their compartment. Urging for immediate action, the passenger also shared videos as evidence. He further reached out to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Twitter, emphasizing the urgent need for attention given the gravity of the situation.
The snake onboard the train was successfully captured and removed thanks to the swift action of the IRCTC personnel. A video documented the collaborative efforts of both IRCTC staff and a passenger as they utilized a bedsheet to secure the snake. Despite the capture, the ultimate outcome for the reptile remains uncertain.
In the meantime, the Railway Seva team took action upon receiving the tweet, promptly bringing the issue to the attention of the appropriate authorities for swift resolution.
