  • Factors beyond star power were emphasized by him as crucial for the success of a film.
  • He expressed gratitude for being acknowledged and stated he is satisfied with his professional journey.

In an interview, Kartik Aaryan reflected on his humble beginnings in the entertainment industry and the journey he embarked on to establish his own unique identity. The actor, currently engrossed in the promotional activities for his upcoming Diwali film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, expressed how he had to put in extra effort compared to individuals who had all the privileges handed to them in Bollywood, such as having a renowned director backing their debut with a whopping Rs 500 crore budget.

In an interview with The Indian Express, the actor emphasized that the success of a film hinges on various factors beyond just its cast. Kartik pointed out that he does not feel pressured as he has consistently taken risks in his career. He reflected, “I have never had things handed to me on a silver platter. I had to pave my own way; no opportunities were served to me. I did not collaborate with a director worth Rs 500 crore from the beginning. I collaborated with debutant directors. Therefore, luck has not always been on my side, but I am aware of my potential for growth. If I continue to deliver results, I am satisfied with that.

At 33 years of age, he expressed his comprehension of the myriad elements that wield considerable influence in determining a film’s success at the box office. Delving further, he elucidated, “There exists a mathematical component to this. Considerations include the team involved, their recent work, upcoming projects, the target audience, the timing of release – is it a prime slot on the calendar? Are there concurrent holidays? Numerous variables factor into the equation both for individuals and the industry as a whole. When these variables are meticulously evaluated, the burden of anxiety is alleviated.

“Not comparing, not complaining”

Kartik expressed gratitude for his accomplishments and current professional status, highlighting his contentment and lack of complaints. He emphasized that he doesn’t compare himself to others and appreciates his journey from being unknown in the city to being recognized nationwide.

Anticipating a fiery reception at the box office starting November 1, Kartik eagerly awaits the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Despite the upcoming clash with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, he remains unfazed. In recent interviews, Kartik expressed confidence in the audience’s support for both blockbuster movies, revealing his intention to catch Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture in cinemas.

Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri are set to play significant roles in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is supported by T-Series.
