Since 2020, the Institute has fluctuated in its ranking, achieving the 52nd spot in both 2022 and 2020, but dropping to 49th in 2021 before returning to 52nd in 2023.
Dating back to 1987, the esteemed Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology in Jalandhar secured the 58th position in the Engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2024. This year, the institute achieved a noteworthy score of 51.11 in this category, marking a remarkable improvement from its previous ranking of 46.
The Institute’s rankings have clearly decreased when compared. In 2023, it fell from being within the top 50 to the 52nd position. NIT-J achieved the same rank of 52 in 2022, after securing the 49th position in 2021 and once again landing on 52nd in 2020.
